Manaaki Marine is proud to be recruiting both Senior and Mid-Level Marine Electrical Technicians — for a well-established and highly respected marine electrical business based in the heart of Auckland’s marine precinct at Westhaven.
Under new ownership, the business is continuing to grow and is now seeking:
2 x Senior Marine Electrical Technicians
1 x Mid-Level Marine Electrical Technician
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a young, energetic and technically capable team working across some of New Zealand’s most exciting marine projects and vessels.
About the Business
They operate across a diverse range of marine and electrical services including:
High-end recreational vessels
Commercial vessel servicing, refits and new builds
Electrical compliance, testing & tagging and EWOF inspections
Their client base includes premium recreational vessels valued well above $300K, commercial operators, marine contractors, and leading Auckland boat builders.
The work is varied, technical and hands-on — no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your experience level, work may include:
Marine electrical installations and servicing
Vessel fault finding and diagnostics
DC and AC electrical systems
Electronics and control systems
Refit and upgrade projects
EWOF inspections and testing/tagging work
Working alongside boat builders, owners and marine operators
Supporting emergency breakdowns and callouts when required
What We’re Looking For
Ideally You Will Have:
Automotive Electrical qualification OR
Registered/Licensed Industrial Electrical qualification
Strong practical electrical fault-finding ability
A full NZ Driver Licence
Good communication and customer service skills
Pride in your workmanship
A positive, team-first attitude
Bonus Points For:
Marine electrical experience
PLC, automation or control systems exposure
Experience working in field service environments
First Aid certification
