Chief Engineer & Second Engineer
Auckland - Tokelau Return
The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a suitably qualified Chief Engineer and Second Engineer for approximately 3 months work aboard their 68m, 1500+ GT, New Zealand flagged vessel. Beginning early August in Auckland the vessel will begin preparation work alongside for an international charter. Departing at the beginning of September the vessel will travel to the Tokelau's stopping at several locations to unload before returning back to Auckland.
Both positions will need to be available from the beginning of August through to late October.
The Essentials:
- Current Cert. of Competency or Recognition
- Chief Engineer = MEC 2 ECE (STCW III/2) min.
- Second Engineer = MEC 2 <3000 kW (STCW II/2)
- Current STCW Certificate of Medical Fitness
- Current STCW Ancillary Certificates to meet your COC or COR
- Hold New Zealand working rights.
Previous experience with CAT diesel engines would be of advantage.

For successful candidates outside of Auckland, there is the ability to live onboard during the preparation phase.
An offer of employment for this position will be subject to successfully completing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and reference checks.
